2011 Volkswagen Touareg Exclusive Options Now Available in Germany
Volkswagen is releasing a list of new option for the new Toureg. Exclusive line of options will cover the vehicle’s upholstery, trim, and wheels.
Some teasers from the list include two tow-tone Nappa leather seats, including Pepper Beige/Titan Black and Dark Burgundy/Titan Black. The leather is treated to become “cool leather,” making it less likely to scorch your skin after a day under the sun. For the tag price of €1,725, the upgraded upholstery includes heated 12-way seats, black headliner; door inserts, and tread plates.
Other examples of Volkswagen Exclusive options: high-end genuine wood inserts in “Olive Ash Silky Luster” and machine-polished 19-inch “Girona” alloy wheels with 265/50 R19 tires, which can be had starting at 1,205 Euros.

2009 Proton Exora Is Red Like A Flower

The 2009 Proton Exora was featured during the Proton Technology Week. The name Exora or ixora, which is a red flower common in the tropics, is the winner in a contest with 251,763 entries. The name was submitted by a teacher from Changlun who will get the 2009 Proton Exora as the prize. Proton chose the name as has a more global connotation that reflects the auto manufacturer’s end goal.
The all-new platform from which the 2009 Proton Exora is based can be used by Proton in a larger vehicle in the future. For now, the MPV will have a 1.6-Liter engine producing 125 horsepower. It will have dual-zone air conditioning, a feature which is endemic in Proton cars. It would be of interest to note that the people behind the Exora bought eleven copies of the Toyota Wish for close study.
The 2009 Proton Exora will have an April roll out date with a price not exceeding $21,900 according to Proton managing director Dato bin Syed Mohd Tahir. Proton assures the safety of the 2009 Proton Exora with a front sub-frame that serves as an impact absorber in case of accident.

Mitsubishi Collaborates with Peugeot/Citroen to Create i-MiEV

Japanese automaker giant Mitsubishi and French automaker PSA Peugeot Citroen has announced that they will join together and create an electric car in Europe by the end of 2010. The electric car will be based on the Mitsubishi i-MiEV EV, which was first shown earlier in Japan. The resulting car will be offered in both Peugeot and Citroen variants in Europe.
PSA Peugeot Citroen will probably reveal the car in the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show and will announce more details in the days to come. The French author is hoping that it will be able to sell about 25,000 units annually in Europe. Mitsubishi on the other hand will also market 25,000 i-MiEVs in Japan and elsewhere.
PSA spokesman Jean-Marc Sarret said that the car will be capable of a roughly 80-mile range between charges, which will take about six hours each.
